If you haven't checked out my website in awhile, please visit my two new galleries, "Bison" and "Longhorn Cattle"!  Having moved to Oklahoma (temporarily), I really wanted to share with everyone some of my favorite new friends. I will blog on them in a bit, but for now.. I would like to share how excited I am the my image "Cowboys at Sunset" has taken the top prize at the Oklahoma State Fair! It's truly an honor having 2 different images in 2 States win "Best of Show". This image was taken just outside of the South Dakota Badlands.  This father and his two boys were so great to work with and we were sure treated to a special South Dakota sunset.  I shot this image a stop on the dark side so that I would not lose any details.  I was able to recover that beautiful color in post and kept the rich golden tones by not over-exposing the image.
